Hello

Reporting in again after a very nice birthday weekend. Yes I was another year older on the 2nd. Celebrated on Sunday with a few chums  who came round for a BBQ and barrel or 2 of liquid refreshment. Very pleasant afternoon indeed. Nice quiet family day on Monday culminating with the 1st episode of the new Dr Who series 3. Yes I know Sad but true. I have actually been watching Dr Who since the VERY 1st episode back in 1963 and I still hide behind the sofa when the Daleks come on.

I have to say that with  the use of modern computer based special effects, the show is  now superb and far more realistic. No more wobbly sets. The current incarnation of The Doctor, as portrayed by David Tennant, is a fascinating character ,who has enedeared himself to the shows fans ,both young and old.

I will be belting the music out at a wedding tonight and then lucky old me has a week off as its Easter . Very good friends arriving from Ireland on Saturday, so lots of fun and serious drinking taking place next week
